Same problem,,, I purchased the $3000 Q90 TV, Samsungs newest $300 Blue Ray, ATMOS DVD player and ATMOS coded DVDs.

When I contacted Samsung they troubleshot and said there must be something wrong with mine so I returned it to Best Buy and got a new system. I can blast the music out of all of the speakers just by changing the SFE and DTS modes to, I believe it is, Matrix. hope this helps I'm having this exact same issue. I just purchased the HW-Q90R(the complete set, subwoofer and rear speakers) and when I play music on it, the rear speakers seem to be very quiet, even if I turn their level to 6.

Is there something similar on HW-Q90r?I tried both, standard and adaptive mode. Then I started the firmware update. I allready read on the internet that an update of the firmware was the first thing to do if the rear speakers made little to no sound. You do not have permission to remove this product association. You order this standard to put you Samsung HW-Q90R black in any room. I haven't tested the Dolby Atmos yet (because my TV is not supporting), but when I playing music or movie, I really need to put my ear close to the rear speakers to be able to hear the sound. Here is my problem. Play around with your digital mode settings and you should be golden. The rear speakers although not great are audible at a higher volume than when playing an ATMOS movie.These are our settings for the Q90 soundbar and Q90 TV. You can only really hear the sound when your ear is up against the speaker. Firmware updated (verified the version via the soundbar screen) was the latest.
